11. (Smelly) Shoe Pile
This group icebreaker is really fun to play. However, when some smelly feet are present, this game is not really recommended :D.

Everyone in the group puts one of their shoes on a large pile in the middle of the room. After a countdown, everyone runs to the pile and grabs a shoe (not their own!). When everyone has found a unique shoe, all participants have to find the person to which the shoe belongs. Let them introduce themselves to this person and them three extra questions they are curious about. When everyone is finished, let everyone introduce the person they talked to + the answers to their questions.

Size of group: 10 and up

12. Adjective Game
Ideal group icebreaker for learning names. Expect funny names and hilarious situations at the end. No props needed, just a good memory.

During this fun group activity, one person starts with picking an adjective or set of words that describe him/herself as a person. There is one condition: this adjective or group of words has to start with the same first letter of their own name. For example, Jolly John or I like your sweater Isabel! The game starts like this: the first person says 'Hello, my name is Jolly John'. The next person says: 'Hi Jolly John, my name is Funny Frank'. The third person will then say: 'Hey Jolly John and Funny Frank, my name is I love apples Isabel'. Continue until everyone has said their name plus adjective. The last participants will have a hard time remembering all those (nick)names!

Size of group: up to 20

13. Group Ball Juggle
Group juggle is a fun way of getting to know each others names and requires quick thinking and reflexes. You need multiple balls and some 'unexpected toys/weird objects'.

Stand in a circle and start the game by throwing a ball to someone after saying: 'Hi [insert other person's name], my name is Bert. For example: 'Hi Frank, my name is Bert' then throwing the ball to Frank. Frank then says: 'Thank you Bert' followed by: 'Hi Susan, my name is Frank' while throwing the ball to Susan. When the names are getting familiar, you can speed up the game by instructing everyone to throw the ball as quick as possible to the other, while calling out the right names. When the group is skilled at this game, introduce another ball and start the multiple group juggle fun! Repeat this sequence up to as many balls as the group can handle. This group activity can become hilarious by introducing more objects to throw: soft toys or other weird objects (rubber chickens?).

Size of group: up to 15

14. Personal Flag Group Activity

Cool get to know you group activitys, useful for showing personal interests, hobbies and what makes them unique. You need some sheets of paper, pens and decorative materials (pencils, markers, stickers).

Every group member gets a piece of paper. Explain to the group that everybody's going to draw and decorate their own personal flag with elements that represent them. They have to design their own flag with text and images that symbolize them or what they enjoy doing. If some people don't manage to get something on paper, structure this group activity by dividing the paper in four parts. The top left part of the paper could be for 'favorite hobby' and top right part for 'vacation places' etcetera.
Set a specific time for the group activity and let everybody share their artwork with the group afterwards. You can expand this group game with this next task: tell the group that they have to brainstorm and make a group-wide flag that's much bigger than the one they've just made. Another alternative ending to this fun group activity could be that every personal flag becomes a part of an enormous flag that contains them all.

Size of group: 8 - 25

15. Deserted Island
This is a team bonding group activity that helps people to share a little about themselves and get to know other group members.

Tell the group that they're all stranded on a deserted island (after a plane crash or boat accident for example). Give everyone the instruction to think of one item or product they would bring to the island and why. Form a circle and let everybody explain and clarify their choice. Then, form groups and let the smaller groups discuss about the best combinations of the available items. To clarify, combining the various products for ultimate survival is the instruction for these smaller groups. All items should be used.

Size of group: medium to large groups
